Job Summary:
The My Epic Gear Marketing team is responsible for developing strategy and executing go-to-market initiatives for My Epic Gear, Vail Resorts' innovative gear subscription. This team leads projects and marketing tactics from ideation to execution to grow and scale the My Epic Gear business.
This position is focused on driving in-season member reservations and growing renewals of existing members. The position also has a high f ocus on the digital guest experience, including the MyEpicGear.com website presence and My Epic app environment. The individual will work collaboratively with cross- functional teams including omnichannel and guest lifecycle marketing, business and channel analytics, guest research and operations business partners, to execute strategies that enhance the member experience throughout the season and encourage early renewal and long-term member renewals. The ideal candidate is creative, data-driven, detail-oriented and is able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A strong sense of organization and desire for continuous improvement are essential.

Job Responsibilities:
Develop and execute guest engagement strategies for My Epic Gear members
Develop personalized messaging and campaigns across owned and paid channels (e.g., email, social media, digital ads, content) to keep members engaged, promote product usage, and drive renewals.
Work closely with the guest insights team to translate NPS data into renewal strategies and address challenges that may impact renewal decisions.
Monitor and optimize renewal KPIs, including churn rate, in-season engagement, and renewal conversion, and lead tactics to drive these metrics.
Partner with the strategic research team to gather insights through member surveys and feedback, informing strategies to enhance the member experience and influence renewal
Track business results related to engagement and renewals, providing actionable recommendations to improve marketing tactic performance and strengthen member return
Collaborate with the digital marketing team to ensure the My Epic Gear app experience, websites, and FAQs are optimized to foster continued member engagement and renewal.
Develop and lead communication campaigns (e.g., in-season reminders, pre-arrival communications, personalized member outreach) to keep members engaged throughout the season and incentivize renewals.
Work with the Test and Learn team to experiment with strategies to boost in-season usage, optimize renewal tactics, and improve renewal rates across channels.
Provide support to the broader My Epic Gear Marketing team, contributing to overall results and gaining exposure to the full scope of the business.
Job Requirements:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree required.
3 to 5 years of marketing experience, with a focus on member engagement, retention, or customer experience.
Proven track record of executing successful go-to-market strategies and tactics to increase in- season usage, engagement, and drive retention and renewals.
Experience defining and deploying messaging in owned digital channels (apps, websites)
Strong ability to analyze member data and behavior, identify trends, and implement strategies to increase engagement and renewals
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages and content that drive member action and loyalty.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to create and implement strategies that increase member retention and renewal rates.
Demonstrated learning agility, with the ability to quickly adapt to new responsibilities and tools.
Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
Strong management of multiple stakeholders, both independently and collaboratively across departments.
Outdoor or ski experience is not required
Preferred:
Experience in retention marketing, loyalty programs, or subscription-based services.
Ability to leverage data to optimize in-season engagement and retention efforts.
Experience with content personalization, member segmentation, and lifecyclemarketing strategies.
The expected Total Compensation for this role is $76,841 - $85,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
