The NA Imports and Commodities Cost Analyst executes activities to ensure accurate financial and margin results through cost updates.  Includes vendor cost changes and purchase agreement updates. Manages vendor and item setup and discontinuance in both the GFS and Back Office Systems.  Creates and supports the reporting to the Category Managers on service levels for both the US and Canada side of the business.

This position is located out of our Home Office 1300 Gezon Parkway SW, Wyoming, MI 49509. This is a hybrid role 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home.

What you will do:

Collaborates with the Category Managers  during the analysis of vendor cost changes.

Collaborates with the Category Managers and Cost Analysts to execute the accurate and timely implementation of vendor     purchasing agreements. 

Collaborates with Divisional Teams to provide support as necessary through reporting and analysis. 

Supports the Category Manager to understand the market to update the Critical Stock Report.

Maintains the service level reports for each Imports & Commodities business unit.

 Responsible for managing costs from external vendors.

Works with Category Managers and the Cost Analyst for GFS to resolve any cost related discrepancies between a GFS   purchase orders and vendor invoices.

Supports new vendor and item setup for both Imports & Commodities and GFS.

Supports growth and accuracy in margin through continuous audits of vendor agreements.

Maintains vendor and item data by assisting Category Managers, Sales Team, Cost Analyst and Buyers in new vendor set up, new item setup, maintaining accurate item costs and/or vendor costs in the assigned categories. 

Performs other duties as assigned.

What you will bring to the table:

​At Least 2 years of product, category, cost knowledge and/or previous marketing experience or an equivalent combination of experience, education, or training.

Candidates with an accounting background are preferred.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
