Logistics Regional Manager - North Americas
Position Summary
Logistics Regional Manager will be responsible for managing import/export shipping to ensure customs / government compliance. Subject matter expert on customs/government import requirements and compliance. Manager will also be responsible for all in-country transportation, contract negotiations and transport bids and awards.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Manage all import/exports shipments.Ensure commercial documents are compliant with regulationsWork with customs broker to ensure 100% Customs / Government compliance. Keep current with government programs and changes in regulations which may impact our import/export shipments.Transportation bids for in-country distributionCoordinating and tracking inbound/outbound shipmentsWork with domestic and international transportation companies to ensure timely performance.Works in a team environment that assists and supports all other NCR division or departmentsBasic Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent accreditation or equivalent work experienceExcellent communication skills including the ability to present to a diverse audience (business, technical, and leadership) and clearly communicate across diverse cultures and time zones.Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint experience Expertise in managing international shipping documentation and operations.In-depth knowledge of customs regulations and compliance requirementsExpertise in managing international shipping documentation and operations.In-depth knowledge of customs regulations and compliance requirements.Experience in managing logistics operations across North America.Ability to conduct transportation bids with trucking companies, express couriers, and warehouse providers.Proficiency in tracking inbound and outbound international shipments.Implementing and monitoring robust metrics to capture supplier performance.Ability to work with international suppliers to assign carriers and service levels.Skilled at requesting/approving ADHOC quotes from transportation suppliers.Skilled at problem resolution, shipping delays, call multiple carriers to book shipments, overage/underage deliveries, etc.Capable at determining transportation routing based on required delivery date.Able to optimize truck capacity by consolidating shipments International Export Specialist#LI-AR1
