What You'll Do

BCG’s commitment to accelerated personal development and growth sits at the heart of our Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and Perform, Develop, Grow (PDG) philosophy. As the NAMR Business Services Team (BST) L&D Senior Specialist, you will use your L&D expertise and experience and play a crucial role in the execution of learning programs for the learners in our Costa Rica office. Reporting to the NAMR BST L&D Director, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of learning initiatives in our Costa Rica office, including understanding the needs, designing and developing the right learning programs, and delivering them to the learners. You will collaborate with the broader NAMR BST L&D team, Operations team, CR local leadership and HR teams to ensure these programs are delivered with seamless operations and high impact. This role requires the ability to work independently, think strategically, and utilize your expertise in L&D as you apply your knowledge and experience to high-quality learning programs.

 

Candidates will be considered at the Senior Specialist or Manager level, commensurate with experience.

 

You’re good at

Understanding Needs - Work with the Costa Rica leadership team, local functional teams, local HR and L&D team, Ops L&D Senior Manager and other stakeholders to understand the learning needs and propose effective solutions.Design and develop learning solutions - Apply learning science and adult learning principles to create learner journeys, content, and relevant activities to help improve learner experience and knowledge retention. The role will be required to keep an eye on evolving content and learner needs and update the curriculum accordingly. The role will also review deliverables to ensure that the deliverable quality is as per the project quality parameters and industry standards. Programs of focus will include (but are not limited to) new hire orientation, foundational knowledge for Administrative/Operational teams , customer management, and new and advanced skill development.Program Execution - Ensure all learners have a seamless learning experience by managing the logistical, operational, and technical aspects of program delivery, including scheduling and participant management, partnering with the broader BST L&D team to work within our existing processes and programs. Deliver learning programs, or partner with local facilitators to “train the trainer” and deliver content.Program Evaluation and Maintenance – Collect and analyze feedback and data from individuals and program attendees to inform existing and future programs. This includes data on all four levels of Kirkpatrick model. Maintain repository of learning, proactively update programs based on evaluation findings, and curate content to meet additional needs as required.Team Connectivity – Work across the broader NAMR BST L&D team to understand all learning programs and contribute to the overall learning experience for our BST. Work with Operations L&D Senior Manager to share best practice with worldwide colleagues.Connect with local teams – Work with the local teams and functions to understand the evolving business and therefore, learning needs. Keep a pulse on the local needs and advise on learning solutions accordingly to the NAMR BST L&D team. Engage with and develop a perspective on locally delivered L&D programs, ensuring consistency and alignment with broader/NAMR L&D objectives, etc.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field strongly preferred5 to 8 years of experience in Learning and Development, with a working understanding of learning theories, instructional design methodologies, and evaluation strategiesProven track record of building learning solutions for a diverse set of functions and learning needs, such Operations function (Administrative Services, Office Experience, Events, or something similar), Finance function, etcStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyOutstanding communication and presentation skills in English; with a preference to be able to do the same in Spanish as wellProven ability to work effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levelsComfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and capable of adjusting to new challenges and demands

Who You'll Work With

This individual is a part of the North America BST People Team whose mission is to provide each member of our BST the resources and support they need to become the best possible person and professional while at BCG. More specifically, this role is a part of the NAMR BST L&D team, made up of highly engaged learning experts who focus on impactful learning experience and seamless learning operations. You will report to the NAMR BST L&D Director.  You will collaborate closely with NAMR Operations team, local leadership and US based team members. This role will partner with geographic and functional leaders, Human Resources, and global L&D counterparts.
