NANA Shareholder College Summer Intern - Human Resources

The NANA Shareholder Intern will provide clerical and administrative support to the human resources staff. Activities may include answering phones, filing, organizing resumes and job applications or preparing presentation materials for training activities while learning basic HR functions. Activities and procedures are clearly defined and work processes are simple. Operates under close supervision with regular review of work in progress and completed assignments

NOTE: To be considered for this position, you must be a NANA Shareholder and own stock in “NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.” You must currently be enrolled in college or technical/vocational school.

Responsibilities

Handle personnel paperwork.

Prepare personnel action forms.

Prepare and deliver offers of employment.

Inform payroll and administration departments of a new employee's arrival.

Enter new employees into the HRIS system.

Collect necessary new hire forms.

Mail performance review forms and salary increase forms to managers.

Perform follow-up to ensure that paperwork is returned in a timely and accurate manner.

File and maintain employee records.

Assists with other administrative duties, in the areas of wage and salary, benefits, recruitment, training, etc.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must be a NANA Shareholder and own stock in “NANA Regional Corporation, Inc.”.

Must be currently enrolled in college or technical/vocational school.

Pursuing Bachelor’s degree preferably in HR or related field.

Basic knowledge of personnel practices and procedures.

Excellent writing, editing, communication, organization and interpersonal skills required.

Able to handle high level of confidentiality regarding employee information.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

General office environment: no special physical demands required.
