Nanny
Tinies Childcare

A welcoming family near Milton Keynes (MK19) are looking for a full time, sole charge, experienced nanny to start ASAP to care for their son who is 19 months old.
The days and hours required are Monday – Thursday from 07:30 – 19:30.
This role is to care for a little boy who is growing, discovering and developing every day, he enjoys being taken to the park, especially playing on the swings and slide, he loves to run about and he also enjoys swimming.
This position would suit a nurturing and fun nanny who has lots of energy!
The little boy is moderately deaf and wears hearing aids. His speech is at an age appropriate level and he does not use sign language, so the family do not require the nanny to have any previous experience of caring for a child with hearing loss. They do, however, need a nanny who is prepared to learn how to manage his hearing aids and to gradually get a working understanding of the specialist speech therapy approach that they are following. The nanny will be required to support the family by getting involved and putting in to practice any advice given.
Duties for this full time Nanny role include:
• All childcare duties
• Ensuring a safe and happy environment
• Working as a team and liaising effectively with the parents
• Taking delivery of the grocery order
• Preparing and cooking healthy meals for the child (including what will need to be added to the groceries order)
• Interacting with the child and encouraging development
• Arranging activities for the week, he currently attends a few different groups but there is plenty of time to fill with additional fun and educational activities
• Keeping all areas used clean and tidy including toys. A cleaner is employed for 8 hours a week so this is mainly keeping things in order
• Helping the household to run smoothly by seeing what needs to be done and being an extra pair of hands
• Managing the child’s laundry
To apply candidates must have:
• The right to work in the UK
• A level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years is desirable but not essential
• Previous age appropriate, sole charge nanny experience is essential for this role
• A valid 12 hour paediatric first aid certificate (Tinies can assist)
• Nanny insurance (Tinies can advise)
• A clean driving licence and a reliable car insured for business use
• A clean, enhanced DBS disclosure. A new DBS will be required if your current one is not registered on the Update Service. (Tinies can assist)
• Flexibility
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as a team with the parents
• The ability to work under your own initiative - someone who can see what needs to be done and will not wait to be asked
• Candidates must be able to supply referees for the last 5 years of employment and character referees for any gaps between employment
Candidates must be non-smokers and non-vapers.
The hourly rate being offered is £15.00 gross, 5.6 weeks paid holiday will be given per annum.
The family has a cocker spaniel who is 4 years old, he is a big part of the family and likes quite a lot of attention. The nanny must be happy to assist with some dog walks so someone who is comfortable around dogs is a must.
Please note that this is a permanent position but the hours might reduce in September 2025.
