NASA Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Developer

We have an exciting opportunity for a NASA Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Developer to join the team with Teammate Company, Nexus Solutions.\n

** 100% Telework Remote, can be located anywhere in USA (with occasional travel to Johnson Space Center or nearest\n

NASA center to candidates home) **\n

If selected, you will:\n

- Developing new cloud-native platform services spanning all three major cloud environments.\n

- Working with Managed Kubernetes offering across all three major cloud providers\n

- Integrating cloud managed AI and data services with other bespoke and open-source Kubernetes applications\n

- Developing best practices for cloud-native application development and promoting them within the organization\n

- Writing quality code, providing quality and engaged code reviews for peers\n

- Identifying opportunities to abstract Prospective Project requirements and develop Enterprise-grade, multi-tenant\n

Platform Services\n

- Working directly with NASA human spaceflight missions like Orion, Lunar Gateway, Mission Control and more\n

- Perform other duties as required\n

Qualifications - External\n

Requisition Qualifications:\n

This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business\n

- Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent certification in a related area and normally possess 10 years of\n

experience in the field or in a related area\n

- Experience with Kubernetes in production\n

- Proficiency with Terraform (or equivalent) for infrastructure automation tooling\n

- Extensive Linux experience (familiarity with Windows also preferred, but not required)\n

- Expert in at least one programming language (Go is preferred)\n

- Solution-oriented mindset, accepts feedback with enthusiasm\n

- Effectively communicates with team members: clear status updates to direct report, regularly establishes unanimous\n

decisions with peers\n

- Ability to thrive in a fully remote organization\n

- Self-motivated and self-managing, with strong organizational skills\n

- Ability to use GitLab (preferably very proficient)\n

- Experience architecting and building cloud-native applications\n

- Demonstrable success and confidence in owning the full project lifecycle\n

- Good instincts for identifying opportunities for abstraction\n

- Balances individual project development tasks at hand with overall platform and company goals\n

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of work experience required.\n

- NASA Experience preferred.\n

Requisition Preferences:\n

- 3-5 years of progressive, native experience with a BS\n

- Experience with space mission operation software development
