Purpose of Role
The National Account Manager (NAM) for Food Manufacturing is responsible for growing sales and improving our strategic position with key national accounts. The NAM will develop and execute sales strategies, build and maintain strong client relationships, and identify new business opportunities within the food manufacturing and meat processing industries. This role involves account planning, managing contract negotiations, and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support projects, advance initiatives, and resolve challenges.
Areas of Accountabilities
Deliver year-over-year sales growth:
+ Execute a comprehensive market and customer-specific business plans to achieve defined sales objectives.
+ Maximize customer value through solution-based selling and consistent use of Value Engagement tools.
+ Expand the opportunity pipeline for meat and food processing to broaden our customer base, enhance product offerings, and drive sales growth.
Manage and improve customer engagement and experience:
+ Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers with national accounts.
+ Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer business models, strategic goals, challenges, and opportunities to provide tailored solutions.
+ Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key accounts that measure performance and ensure alignment.
+ Engage in industry and networking events to build relationships and expand market intelligence.
+ Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry developments, regulations, best practices, and competitive landscape within the meat and food processing industries.
Properly leverage the organization to advance account plans and opportunities.
+ Understand and adhere to defined processes within Sales, Sales Operations, and New Product Development.
+ Build strong relationships with internal resources to advance business plans and opportunities.
+ Act decisively and be a leading voice in cross-functional teams to drive speed-to-market and ensure project success.
+ Share industry insights and trends with internal teams to influence product development and marketing strategies.
+ Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
+ Bachelor-s Degree of Arts or Science
+ Direct selling experience within Food Processing & Manufacturing Industry (National account experience preferred)
+ Fluent with MS Office 365, Salesforce, Zoom Info.
+ Experience developing and managing account plans that resulted in 6 and 7 figure deals.
+ Able to negotiate complex contracts and sales agreements.
+ Able to engage and communicate with various stakeholders, including C-suite.
+ Minimum 50% of time spent traveling by airplane.
+ Job may require physical lifting of products.
