National Account Manager - Consumer Health 

 

Our Consumer Health Sales division have an exciting opportunity for a National Account Manager to join the team.   The successful applicant will work and develop a large strategic account in line with the Consumer Health brand strategy.   This role is based from our headquarter offices in Green Park, Reading, Berkshire.   We operate a Hybrid working model, so realistic travel to the office will be required alongside travelling to the customer and some remote working from home. 

 

Major Tasks

Develop Major Account Joint Business Plan in line with Consumer Health brand and overall Strategy - Distribution, display, share of shelf % and In-store promotional plan and brand feature activation.Tactically implement Channel Strategy, deliver and monitor, monthly, vs. delivery of all financial business targets – Sales, Profit, Trade SpendManage promotional spend and activity in line with annual / quarterly budgets, profit contribution Proactively communicate business opportunities / risks with solutions to deliver, in timeProduce accurate volume and value forecasts to +/- 3%Negotiate price increases within agreed parametersMaintain details of competitor activity; weekly retail price check and communicate all potential interface issues / new news within 24 hours.Achieve working relationships with all key contacts across channel & specific lead accountAchieve full understanding of the value of BCH to the account – Sales and Profit deliveryInput to project work where appropriate •Have a comprehensive understanding of the full make up of the major account.To build joint scorecards and growth pyramids to support continual joint development.Establish and implement an active contract strategy across the lead account ensuring that all contacts both internally and externally are aligned to the Consumer Health strategy and the objectives of the agreed joint Business plan.Takes responsibility for set backs and is able to find effective solutions in a timely mannerWillingness to proactively take on new challenges and responsibilitiesAdapts interpersonal style to suit different people or situationsAdapts to changing circumstances in a timely, effective mannerUses high level category, shopper and market data to effectively develop a story and better sell to your customer

 

Who you are?

1. Strategic thinker with comprehensive category & retail knowledge

2. Advanced understanding of the total business mix – Brand and Trade marketing; brand awareness, supply chain; financial management

3. Excellent verbal & written presentation, communication, selling and negotiation skills

4. Highly analytical, numerate with an excellent attention to detail

5. Ability to understand & utilise facts / Market Research data to build commercial arguments

6. Ability to work in a high pressure hands-on environment

7. Comprehensive knowledge of theUK routes to market; Retailers & their strategies

8. A strong track record of achieving targets

9. Excellent relationship building skills internally and externally

10. Proactively speaks out, provides feedback and appropriately challenges
