National Account Manager - Wholesale Channel

POSITION SUMMARY:

The National Accounts Manager will have direct responsibility for managing accounts to drive business growth through strategic planning and strong customer engagement, ensuring alignment between customer objectives and our growth initiatives. As a National Account Manager, the focus will be on medium to long-term planning and face-to-face selling of a variety of products, services, and/or solutions across flow control, transport, service, and repair products.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate strategic initiatives between national account leadership and the internal sales team for market deployment. Short-term and/or multi-year strategies are in scope.

Develop annual incentive programs for national accounts that align with corporate objectives and drive for mutual results.

Facilitate national account promotions and annual shows/meetings.

Coordinate with internal supply chain, finance, and product management stakeholders to support national account operations.

Core planning and selling activities include:

Developing medium to long-range sales plans and preparing strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with a defined group of existing customers

Identifying and managing interactions with a defined group of existing customers to identify cross/up and repeat sales opportunities

Resolving problems and ensuring customers receive high-quality customer service

Developing client retention and growth plans and strategies for developing profitable business with assigned accounts

Reviewing and reporting on customer retention, business opportunities and market trends. Incumbents in this role may be selling directly to the ultimate purchaser or indirectly through channel partners

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field, and a minimum of 8 years sales experience in the Wholesale Channel; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Familiarity with the plumbing industry and products

Experience at a national or regional level supporting a centralized network distributor

Experience selling into Appliance and International Markets

COMPETENCIES:

Advanced negotiation and presentation skills

Strong project management skills required

Analytical and creative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and demonstrated successful ability to build positive partnerships, while working collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, advanced level Excel user

Demonstrated successful ability to organize and prioritize work to ensure timely deadlines

Demonstrated track record leading and implementing sustainable process improvements, seeking out and implementing internal or external best practices
