National Account Research Analyst

Supports National Account Customer Support, National and Field Accounts in the areas of research, analysis, resolution, updating web portals and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) with required statuses, researching, and auditing projected freight charges against actual charges and invoicing customers, as well as customer service. Works with various internal departments and external customers providing Service 2.OD at all times.
Primary Responsibilities
+ Maintain daily contact with accounts and provides account maintenance and problem resolution
+ Assist National Account Coordinators in the areas of research, analysis, and problem resolution as well as customer service, correspondence, and reporting
+ Update web portals and TMS with required event statuses
+ Research and audits projected freight charges against actual charges and submits any corrections through the customers preferred platform
+ Identify missing or incomplete information by specific customer’s requirements as needed to bring to resolution and enters the information
+ Invoice customers and provides the necessary documentation through their system
+ Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers daily
+ Create and revises specialized reports in the customer’s TMS, Portal and AS400 and review as required while resolving issues
+ Research shipments that are placed in “trouble” status by using AS400, Imaging, customer websites, portals, and Transportation Management System (TMS) to identify and correct issues
+ Identify the root causes of issues and make correction recommendations to management
+ Analyze shipments to determine the missing or incomplete information and bring to a resolution
+ Communicate with large Fortune 500 Companies daily to revolve customer issues
+ Work with ODFL management to resolve customer issues
+ Provide Service 2.OD to both internal and external customers
Job Qualifications
Education:
+ High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
+ 6 months of experience in the transportation industry, preferably in a customer service role
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office, Web Portals, Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and AS400
+ Experience providing customer service via telephone and email
+ Professionalism, proper telephone etiquette
+ Strong interpersonal skills
+ Strong time management skills
+ High attention to detail and accuracy
+ Knowledge of OD LTL operations, freight flow and industry trends
