- Actively own growth opportunities and partner with country and corporate stakeholders
- Act as Co-Pilot for selected GA and NA customers.
- Make commercial decisions in and outside RFQs to win and retain business.
- Acquires or supports the acquisition of new business and supports the account management.
- Promotes customer relations and develops the existing client base.
- Localizes the global Airfreight products to meet assigned market expectations and requirements.
- Monitors market trends and competitor activity in order to identify new business opportunities (acquisition candidates, new services, business partners, etc.)
- Supports and cooperates in the determination of the global business strategy and executes/ secures its implementation.
- Constant and extensive exchange with NA/ZA peer group on customer/trade development
- Constant and extensive exchange with respective N/ZA-D in regard to Strategic Customer/Product Development, Pricing, including final responsibility on pricing/risk exposure on strategic RFQs. Supports the business development process (tender analysis, solution design, costing, pricing and service offering).
- Close collaboration with KN Group Companies (Apex, Quick, Morgan Cargo) where applicable
- Close collaboration with KN Perishable Management/PER Group companies, Business Development and Synergies, where applicable
Profit Development
- Carries the profit and loss responsibility for the assigned country
- Link financial performance to commercial actions
- Actively own P&L and customer profitability
- Manage RFC
- Creates and monitors the annual budget, initiates corrective actions in case of deviations.
Operations Excellence
- Supports the National Team in Operation Management / Strategy as per RACI
- Ensures daily operational execution as customer delivery
- Supports the Corporate Procurement and Carrier Management / Strategy
- Foster a continuous improvement culture.
Leadership + Human Resources
- Lead national Air Logistics teams.
- Grow talents and manage succession plans.
- Leads and steers the organization in line with the KN Culture based on KN Roadmap, particular KN experience and be a role model of the before mentioned.
- Ensures the identification and development of an internal talent pipeline for the organization.
- Pro-actively supports in regard to talents, people development and fostering of international exchange
Your Skills and Experiences
- Relevant degree in Business / Logistics / Engineering
- Leadership experience: 5-10 years
- Excellent Knowledge of Air Logistics transportation
- Experience in direct customer contact
- Advanced Interpersonal/Intercultural skills in order to managed variety of stakeholders in countries.
- Ability to influence, negotiate and resolve conflicts on internal and external board level.
- Presentation and moderation skills
- Very strong business development skills and commercial acumen
- Team leader and team player. Energetic leadership personality, excellent communicator, networking and presentation skills, highly pro-active, fast acting, supportive and self-motivated.
