Pearson is actively seeking National Board-Certified Teachers (NBCTs) and practicing educators who are currently working at least half-time and have at least three years of full-time teaching/counseling experience in a PK-12 setting at our Charlotte, NC location. We need educators who are currently teaching at least half-time in the following certificate areas:

Art  English as New Language Exceptional Needs Specialist  Generalist Middle Childhood Music (Band) Early and Middle Childhood Physical Education School Counseling Science  Social Studies - History World Language Spanish

Scoring Details: 

Scoring schedule: 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday  Scoring Location: 6000 Fairview Road, SouthPark Towers Suite 1200, Charlotte NC 28210 Scoring Dates: June and July 2024 Pay Rate - $25 per hour

 

What is a National Board Assessor?

National Board assessors score candidate responses to portfolio or assessment center exercises and are trained to look for evidence of a candidate's practice through the lens of the National Board standards. Assessors are compensated at an hourly rate of (plus any applicable milestones) for all training and scoring activities, and the regular work hours are 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, for the duration of the project. 

 

How to Apply
 

As only practicing educators and current National Board-Certified Teachers (NBCTs) are selected to assess the submissions, we could not complete our work without the help of our dedicated teacher participants. The knowledge and experience that NBCTs bring to the National Board Certification process are invaluable, and we would love for you to join our team this summer!
