Bayer Inc.’s Pharmaceutical division is undergoing a major transformation in our operating model and customer engagement approach to better serve our patients and customers and achieve ‘Health for All’.

The Business Expansion Specialist will be responsible for digital first outreach to HCPs, developing our off-panel business, strategic on-panel opportunities, and special projects. The successful candidate will drive revenue and growth across Canada for priority brands across different therapeutic areas, by identifying new opportunities and implementing effective customer engagement strategies. You will be working closely with the in-field Customer Engagement teams, and Product teams, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful execution of off-panel, strategic on-panel and other key stakeholders to ensure successful execution of business development initiatives.

 What you will do: 

Working with squads (both product and customer), identify and pursue new business opportunities to increase revenue and market share.Execute an omnichannel strategy aligned with the brand’s core opportunities, considering your customer’s evolution on the adoption ladder with increased personalization based on customer preferences.  Schedule and conduct virtual sales calls with key prescribers/customers. Provide promotional discussions on current product/indications and disease management. This involves executing virtual sales interactions on various videoconferencing platforms including Zoom, MS Teams and Veeva Engage.Follow up with a synchronous outreach (phone, Veeva engage) to key customers that engage with our digital (asynchronous) content.Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners.Refine and manage strategic target lists that capture high potential customers for key brands/portfolio based on priorities/business needs.Organize, maintain, and monitor activity through account management and CRM tools including Veeva.Collaborate & connect within Bayer to share insights, feedback and support cross-functional collaboration. Adhere to all requirements and Code of Conduct as directed by IMC and Bayer policy guidelines. Liaise with internal partners (product and operations, product squads, market access, medical affairs, patient support) to optimize Customer Experience.Work with brands on digital content creation and adaptation.Work within a squad structure, engaging in 90-day cycles to set objectives, assess progress, and adapt strategies to drive continuous improvement and achieve impactful results. Execute on various use-cases where applicable, such as off and on panel business development initiatives, on-panel vacancies, remote geographies.  

 

Who you are: 

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.2+ years of experience in sales operations, sales, business development, or a related field. (Experience in the field strongly preferred)Positive and winning attitudeExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and partners.Strong Customer FocusStrong analytical skills and ability to analyze data to identify trends and opportunities.Proven ability to develop and execute strategic plans.Knowledge of sales processes and strategies.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Digital acumenProficient in Bayer’s digital platforms, Microsoft Office and Veeva.Knowledge of: Sales Force Marketing Cloud, Tableau, eWizard - nice to haveContinually seeks feedback from peers to improve business outcomes and able to set and deliver against 90-day and long-term goals to achieve desired impact/outcomeBilingual in French and English an asset
