About the role:
The National Manager for the Café Department will provide national-level leadership (AU & NZ) to ensure a consistent café offering across all Bunnings sites.
You will proactively be managing the strategy, operations, P&L, suppliers, and sourcing of products.
Reporting to the National Services Manager, you will develop and oversee the implementation of standard policies and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency across all café operations, along with managing daily operations and operational projects.
What's involved:
Strategy setting, development, and execution, including service, range, pricing, standards and customer offer
Multi-site management of 275 current sites with forecasts to expand year on year
Effectively minimising costs and maximising sales and margin opportunities through implementation of a strong customer satisfaction culture and offer for our branded market position
Managing relationships with suppliers at all levels
Reviewing and negotiating contracts to maximise margins and add value to the business
Managing and developing products, range reviews and visual merchandising
Ensuring national BSAFE policies and procedures are adhered too
Who we're looking for:
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience of operational management and national leadership, along with the ability to execute operational projects in a timely manner with stakeholder buy-in.
You will demonstrate high-level interpersonal skills, showcasing exceptional leadership and decisiveness. You are known for your flexibility and action-oriented approach and ability to prioritise customer focus in every task.
You’ll need:
Tertiary degree in Business or related discipline preferable
Demonstrated experience in Retail or Food Beverage management ideally with strong operations experience combined with exposure to other functions
Experience in a national multisite café leadership role
The ability to liaise and negotiate with council and governing bodies
Good interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders
