Summary :
Vighter is seeking to hire a Data and Technology Manager in San Antonio, TX. The Data and Technology Manager will manage data systems and networks and oversee the responsibilities of the department. Duties include organizing, storing, extracting, and analyzing company data while also safeguarding security and confidentiality standards. Reporting to the National Program Director and Program Director, the Data and Technology Manager oversees the collection, management, and storage of data across the organization and is responsible for analyzing and deriving insights from data to inform trends and business decisions. The Data and Technology Manager develops procedures and policies for data collection, retention, and security, ensuring that the company meets industry best practices. They work closely with other staff to collect, prepare, organize, protect, and analyze data. Other duties include review of all data and cybersecurity insurance policies, improving and streamlining data systems within the company, driving innovation in the use of company data systems and ensuring that information to and from the company runs timely and securely.
Principle Accountabilities:
+ Developing data management strategies that align with business goals, ensuring data is accurate, consistent, and accessible across the organization.
+ Overseeing data governance policies to ensure proper data stewardship, quality, and security throughout its lifecycle.
+ Managing data integration across different systems (e.g., databases, cloud storage, third-party applications), ensuring data flows seamlessly between various platforms.
+ Implementing data storage solutions (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses) that provide scalable and efficient storage for large datasets.
+ Create and maintain data models that support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting.
+ Ensure data compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards.
+ Developing and implementing technology strategies that support the organization’s objectives, drive innovation, and improve operational efficiency.
+ Evaluating and selecting new technologies, tools, and platforms that enhance the organization’s capabilities in data management, processing, and analysis.
+ Leading the adoption of emerging technologies, such as machine learning, AI, cloud computing, or big data platforms, to stay ahead of the competition.
+ Identifying opportunities for automation and optimization within the data and technology stack to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes.
+ Managing and mentoring cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, IT staff, and software developers, ensuring they are aligned with organizational goals.

+ Coordinate system upgrades, patches and improvements, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Monitor system performance and ensuring timely troubleshooting and resolution of any issues or outages.
+ Establish and enforce data security protocols, ensuring that sensitive data is protected from unauthorized access or breaches. Implementing encryption, access controls, and other security measures to protect data both in transit and at rest.
+ Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, including handling data requests, audits, and implementing the necessary controls to protect user data.
+ Conduct regular security audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and implementing remediation strategies.
+ Ensure the availability of accurate, real-time data for business intelligence, decision-making, and reporting across departments.
+ Collaborate with business units to understand their data needs and ensuring that data insights are aligned with organizational priorities.
+ Leads the execution of data and technology projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with organizational objectives. Provide leadership in analytics, overseeing the development and delivery of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that inform strategic decision-making.
+ Develop KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate the success of data and technology initiatives.
+ Managing project timelines, resources, and risks, and coordinating cross-departmental efforts to meet project goals. Report on project progress to senior management and stakeholders, providing regular updates and adjusting plans as necessary.
+ Implement agile methodologies to manage development and technology projects in iterative cycles, allowing for flexibility and quick adaptation.
+ Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, including cloud service providers, software vendors, and consulting firms.
+ Evaluate and negotiating contracts, ensuring that vendors meet service level agreements (SLAs) and deliver the required value.
+ Ensure vendor products and services are integrated effectively into the organization’s technology stack and that they meet security and performance standards.
+ Oversee the budget for data and technology initiatives, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently across various projects and departments.
+ Identify cost-saving opportunities in the technology stack and data management processes, while maintaining high service levels.
+ Communicate data and technology strategy to senior leadership, aligning technology initiatives with business objectives and ensuring buy-in from key stakeholders.
+ Providing regular status reports on data and technology projects, performance, and key metrics to executives and other stakeholders.
+ Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, sales, operations) to ensure that data and technology support their needs and improve their workflows.
+ Identify inefficiencies in current data management and technology processes and recommending improvements, while forecasting future technology needs and preparing budgets for new initiatives, software tools, and infrastructure investments.
+ Promoting a culture of innovation and continuous learning, encouraging the adoption of new tools, methodologies, and best practices.
+ Monitor the performance of data and technology systems, tracking trends, and making proactive recommendations for optimization and improvements.

Education :

Qualifications:
+ Minimum of three (3) years of experience in mobile applications and/or game development.
+ Proficiency in popular coding languages including Python, Java and C++ and frameworks or systems such as AngularjS and Git.
+ Excellent knowledge of the software development life cycle.
+ Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
+ Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
+ Knowledge of Object-Relational Mapping frameworks.
+ Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
+ Ability to learn quickly and work independently or as part of a team.

Duty Hours / On-call Requirements:
+ Generally speaking, the corporate office is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; however, during times of rapid mobilization, hours may be extended to include days, nights, weekends and holidays. The are opportunities across a multitude of locations and shifts.
