ABOUT THE ROLE
CoStar Group is seeking a National Director of US Multifamily Analytics to join our growing analytics organization. The National Director of US Multifamily Analytics will coordinate CoStar’s coverage of the multifamily sector across markets, will play a key role as the industry-facing representative of CoStar for the multifamily sector and will be responsible for delivering CoStar’s view and outlook of the market.
The National Director is responsible for developing and implementing data-driven thought leadership and preparing analysis and commentary focused on the US multifamily sector. The ideal candidate possesses extensive multifamily expertise with the quantitative and qualitative abilities to craft a sophisticated house view of the themes relevant to the sector both nationally and at the regional level. The individual will have specific knowledge of commercial real estate capital markets, asset class performance and factors impacting supply and demand fundamentals.
This role will be based out of one of our CoStar Group offices, and may sit in most major cities within the United States.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as CoStar’s subject matter expert on all multifamily themes, trends, and topics; educate the broader CoStar Market Analytics team and CoStar’s clients on why these themes are relevant
Create national multifamily market report content for CoStar’s analytic platform
Develop CoStar’s house view of the outlook for the US multifamily sector and ensure that such a view is accurately delivered to and through the CoStar Market Analytics team
Cultivate continuous innovation of CoStar’s applied data deliverables by creating new analytic content and data visualizations to communicate sector-specific trends
Compose regular news articles and press releases highlighting US multifamily trends
Review local market content written by CoStar’s team of market analysts
Contribute to CoStar’s Quantitative Analytics work in multifamily forecasts, valuations, and analytics
Present to CoStar’s existing and prospective clients
Represent CoStar at US multifamily industry events and conferences
QUALIFICATIONS
Advanced degree in economics, urban planning, real estate, or related field
Ten or more years of commercial real estate research experience, with a focus on US multifamily markets
Proven record of producing high-quality analysis of trends throughout the multifamily sector, including the operating and capital markets segments
Deep knowledge of the US multifamily industry, its players, and its data sources
Broad knowledge of major US multifamily markets
Strong analytical and writing skills
Effective and engaging presentation skills
