National Finance Manager

We are looking for an experienced National Finance Manager to lead the finance department and guide a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. You will ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders and you will act as a business partner to align the company’s financial strategy with the long-term goals and objectives of the business. You will also drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting methodologies in cooperation with Corporate Finance and Finance Knowledge Centre.
**Your Role**
National responsibility and accountability to oversee all financial aspects of companies based in the Philippines within the National Finance Manager’s scope, to lead the finance department and finance team, and ensure effective financial management processes as well as the flow of financial information to senior management and external parties in alignment with global financial strategy of Kuehne + Nagel.
The National Finance Manager is also responsible for the oversight of the IT function.
**Your Responsibilities**
+ Manage financial resources of the company and resource planning.
+ Financial Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with the national management team to develop and refine the company's financial strategy, aligning with long-term goals and objectives of the business and finance.
+ Provide financial insights and recommendations to influence strategic planning, business development and investment decisions in accordance with the strategy of the company.
+ Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to guide budgeting, resource allocation and financial performance assessment.
+ Implement and monitor internal controls and accounting guidelines to safeguard company’s assets and ensure compliance with all relevant internal and statutory financial regulations and standards.
+ Identify potential financial risks and opportunities and develop strategies to mitigate risks while capitalizing on growth prospects.
+ Liaise with auditors, regulatory authorities and legal teams to facilitate financial audits, compliance assessments and compliance with company secretarial obligations.
+ Support with identifying potential non-organic growth opportunities and perform related financial due diligence.
+ Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, treasury, taxation, controlling, payroll and financial reporting.
+ Oversee other functions such as office administration or IT if and where required based on reporting lines.
+ Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, statutory declarations, reports, and analyses for internal and external stakeholders.
+ Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure to optimize financial stability and efficiency.
+ Lead and guide a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
+ Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide coaching and professional development opportunities.
+ Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, systems, and reporting methodologies.
+ Lead financial process improvements and transformational changes in cooperation with Finance Knowledge Centre and Global Service Centre
+ Oversight of national IT function and direct management of National IT Manager (Mnl ZI)
+ Signatory rights
**Your Skills and Experiences**
+ Relevant degree in Finance/Economics/Commerce
+ Other degree/diploma: ACCA/ CIMA
+ Leadership experience: 2-5 years
+ Heading up a finance department
+ Team oriented
+ Excellent Communications skills (written/spoken)
+ Experience in working with and leading a multi-cultural team
+ Experience of managing teams with a range of capabilities
+ Strong financial accounting background
+ Ability to effectively supervise a staff comprised of junior levelto professionals in carrying out departmental functions.
