National Immunisation Manager

Reporting into the Vaccines Business Unit Director, you will have critical responsibility of working with the vaccines commercial and policy teams to ensure vaccines are effectively implemented as part of the broader National Immunisation Strategy. This will include relationship management of state jurisdictions and support Commonwealth discussions with the Business Unit Director. In addition, the role will be key in replying to Request for Tender’s released, managing state and national tenders across the entire portfolio with a priority focus on the execution of our company’s Australia’s National Immunisation Program Vaccines Strategy, ensuring alignment with company strategic priorities and the needs of key government immunisation stakeholders.
You will be a role model, visibly demonstrating our company values and expectations to internal employees and external stakeholders.
We are looking for someone with strategic agility, commercial acumen and demonstrated communication & influencing skills as this role involves a wide range of internal and external stakeholder management in a complex matrix environment.
What You Will Do
Responsibilities include, however not limited to:
Track and report monthly stock movements and ensure NIP vaccine agreement terms are met
Collaborating with Federal, State and Territory jurisdictions to ensure efficient availability and management of company vaccines with relevant tenders and contracts.
Contributing to the overarching direction for the business’s approach to responding to national tenders for vaccines and pharmaceuticals.
Ensuring that our company tender submissions for the supply of vaccines to publicly funded programs align with population health policies and the needs of key government immunisation stakeholders.
Making decisions and recommendations on the impact of policy and regulatory matters on the vaccine environment and analysing the impact of those proposals and policies on our company.
Collaborating with our company’s commercial, government affairs and medical teams in leading and defining the strategic focus of our company NIP (National Immunisation Program) business to ensure that the tactical approach and the current health and political environment are complimentary.
Maintaining and building relationships with key stakeholders - Government personnel (program managers and technical experts), to enhance and protect company vaccine business objectives.
Maintaining oversight of our company’s key internal vaccines tender platforms and collaborating with global and local commercial stakeholders to ensure accurate forecasts are maintained.
Scoping and positioning future vaccines for broader State and National Programs
Alliance management with Seqirus to ensure vaccines continue to be supplied to NIP uninterrupted
Maximising the vaccine portfolio through the development and execution of effective policy strategies for the company’s portfolio and government relationships
Demand forecast & supply management for all NIP vaccines and strong communication with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate supply commitments aligned to forecasts
What You Must have
Tertiary or post graduate qualification in science or a related discipline.
Solid prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
We are looking for:
An experienced and strategic commercial leader with experience in a similar role
Superior relationship management and negotiation skills including the ability to manage the needs of multiple stakeholders, including Government relationship management.
Vaccines experience and an applied understanding of the Australian National Immunisation Program and healthcare landscape (preferred).
Extensive experience and demonstrated success in designing, developing and delivering innovative health-related programs for consumers and health care professionals.
Highly developed analytical and strategic thinking, critical appraisal, and problem-solving skills.
A superior motivator, team builder and leader.
Demonstrated ability to adapt communication style to a variety of audiences.
Unparalleled influencing, conflict management and stakeholder management skills.
