Job Description

Position Summary

The National Operations Analyst will play a key role in supporting the management of energy, sustainability, and operations initiatives for properties across the U.S. This includes contributing to the ongoing optimization and maintenance of Energy Management Systems (EMS) and collaborating with field employees to identify opportunities for enhancing efficiency and reducing overall operating costs resulting in added value to the portfolio.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams to facilitate the achievement of the company’s energy and sustainability goals.  

Generate monthly key performance indicator (KPI) reports, conduct thorough utility data analysis, investigate irregularities, and work closely with field teams and utility bill processing vendors to troubleshoot and resolve EMS and other utility-related issues.

Monitor solar energy production and associated maintenance activities through consistent tracking and reporting to ensure optimal performance across the portfolio of solar installations. 

Contribute to the development, implementation, review and tracking of lighting and other energy efficiency projects throughout portfolio, including data collection, analysis, and implementation of new solar and battery electric storage system installations.

Gather, organize, and analyze utility and infrastructure data, including information from HVAC equipment, roofing, paving, and lighting systems, to support ongoing forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis.

Collaborate with ESG director to ensure alignment of policy, strategy and data collection in support of Brookfield’s Net-Zero Commitment strategy and progress toward broader ESG goals.

Support ESG reporting initiatives for various stakeholders including external benchmarking, joint venture partners, and tenants).

Assist in the creation of energy savings policies and procedures for the portfolio and support training and ongoing educational efforts related to National Operations initiatives.

Qualifications           

High School Diploma or GED required.

Bachelor’s degree in business, environmental science, sustainability, environmental engineering, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 1 year of related experience required.

Demonstrated understanding of building utilities, including energy-consuming systems such as lighting, heating, cooling, motors, and IT equipment.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel, and general computer skills required.

Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and validate data through detailed scrubbing, and effectively communicate findings to team members and stakeholders.

Self-motivated and disciplined, with excellent organizational skills to meet recurring monthly and quarterly reporting deadlines.

Collaborative team player who works effectively in group settings and contributes to shared goals.

Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment, including the ability to learn new technologies.

Familiarity with technology, products and trends that enhance energy efficiency is a plus. 

Experience with energy management systems or solar power is a plus.

Travel

Minimal travel may be required (less than 5%).

Compensation

Salary type: Exempt 

Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly

Annual Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000

Annual Bonus: 10%
