National Operations Manager

The Role

The Operations Manager will work closely with the Account Manager and will be accountable and responsible for the delivery of the strategic asset maintenance management and compliance for the Site, including producing recommendation reports for the client to improve building performance concerning critical infrastructure and redundancy across the client Critical Healthcare site.

They will provide day-to-day technical and operational support to the onsite team, including the development, implementation and ongoing management of initiatives and actions stipulated in the contract. An integral part of the position is to work closely with the site teams to establish building compliance and asset maintenance management across the client’s portfolio and to work closely with the team to ensure that all aspects are accurate, timely and provide consistent information for the Client.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage technical operations nationally, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement strategies for efficient facilities management and asset maintenance. Oversee the planning and execution of maintenance programs, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project delivery and operational excellence. Conduct regular assessments and audits to maintain high standards of asset management, safety and compliance. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Skills/ Experience

Proven ability in working within an integrated service delivering Facilities Management, Small Project Management and Financial Management Services. Strong demonstrated experience in the management of large-scale maintenance activities. Knowledge of legislative and statutory requirements for maintenance activities and critical infrastructure systems, including fire, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and communication systems.  Extensive subcontractor procurement and management experience. Strong business acumen with demonstrated business planning and high-level financial knowledge and skills;

Desirable 

Preferred experience in Hospital Environment or Healthcare. Experience in Public Private Partnership(PPP) contracts. Trade (Mechanical/Electrical) and Post Trade (Engineering Certificate/ Associate Diploma). Qualified or experienced in Healthcare Facilities Management.
