JOB TITLE: National Sales Manager – Refinish

Job Summary: This position is responsible for leading sales strategies to meet company goals. Individuals must manage quality and consistency of products and service delivery from our sales team. They must be able to persuade and influence others, develop and deliver presentations. They must be able to create, compose, and edit written materials as well as teach others to do so. Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques are required. Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.

Work Location: This role is fully remote and may be based anywhere in the U.S.

Significant travel required: approx. 70%.

Key Responsibilities: 

Developing and implementing sales strategies with sales team to meet company goals.Lead nationwide sales team members to present and sell company products and services to current and potential customers.Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.Monitor sales activity and take action to address any adverse fluctuations.  Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.Support the negotiation and closing of agreements with large customers.Support the preparation of presentations, proposals and sales contracts as needed.Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency.Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.Stay up to date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.Assist in identifying and resolving client concerns.Prepare a variety of status reports including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.Collaborate with company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales.Participate in marketing events such as seminars and trade shows.Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements.Assist in completing performance reviews and offering strategies to improve employee performance.Other duties as assigned.

MUST HAVE:

High school diploma/GED required with Bachelor’s degree preferred from an accredited institution in a business-related discipline.5+ years of B2B Technical Sales Management background with Industrial alignment. Automotive Paint alignment strongly preferred.People Management experience preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.Self-starter – ability to initiate and execute with limited assistance.Effective writing, communication and interpersonal skills.Assertive, analytical problem solver with a can-do attitude.Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Ability to exercise mature judgment.Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.Valid driver’s license.
