National Sales Manager (Based Northern England)

Overview

This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead strategic efforts, strengthening relationships, and driving revenue growth for our United Kingdom portfolio of hotels.

The National Sales Manager will be responsible for increasing Group and Event revenues from assigned National Accounts within a defined UK Ireland territory. Collaborating closely with our on-property Directors of Sales Marketing as well as Global Sales, the role ensures alignment with individual hotel goals and strategies.

The position requires regular travel for office visits, account reviews and hotel familiarization trips. A key focus will be managing relationships with UK Ireland clients on behalf of our hotels as well as managing RFPs from third parties and corporate end users, efficiently managing this relationship triangle for Hyatt.

Success will be measured against semi-annual sales quotas and Individual Business Goals.

Location

Remote based – Northern England

Key duties and responsibilities include

Account Management

· Manage assigned UK Ireland accounts, collaborating with hotels and the Hyatt Sales Force to increase market share and acquire new opportunities.

· Strengthen relationships with clients and internal teams to achieve revenue growth.

· Ensure that Hyatt Hotels remain at the forefront of the customers' minds with creative innovative events, promotions, and incentives.

Strategy Execution

· Be fully immersed in the strategic goals and priorities of Hyatt Hotels in the United Kingdom.

· Assist with the development and execution of the UK MICE strategy for existing and new hotel openings.

· Create and deliver strategic action plans for key accounts and ensure timely reporting.

Lead Qualification Conversion

· Qualify leads, understanding customer preferences and utilize suggestive selling techniques to maximize conversion rates.

· Explore cross selling opportunities across our UK Ireland portfolio.

Event Management

· Plan and lead events such as sales missions, roadshows, fam trips, customer events, and VIP requests.

Collaboration Reporting

· Work closely with area hotel teams for regular, accurate reporting and support budget goals.

· Maintain UK Ireland hotel product knowledge and stay informed about competitor brands.

Innovation Efficiency

· Constantly innovate deliverables and create efficiencies for all parties involved.

· Utilize all Hyatt systems effectively, maintaining accurate customer databases.

Travel Representation:

· Conduct sales trips and submit detailed pre/post-trip reports

· Maintain a close relationship with the on-property sales teams, including the Directors of Sales and Marketing.

About you

· Experienced MICE and Group seller with existing UK Account relationships.

· Proven ability to deliver high-quality work and achieve results.

· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

· Excellent relationship-building and collaboration abilities.

· Effective communication and active listening skills.

· Proactive, adaptable, and resourceful approach.

· Customer-focused with a commitment to satisfaction.

· Strong organizational and planning skills under pressure.

· Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM systems.

· Fluency in English (German is advantageous).

· Previous experience in proactive sales or event management within the hotel industry is highly beneficial
