We have the opportunity for a motivated professional to lead our national Surgical Ophthalmology sales team in an exciting role and to be part of the ZEISS story.

Reporting directly to the Head of Medical Technology, the successful applicant will be responsible for the national achievement of annual revenue goals for the business unit Surgical Ophthalmology. Specifically, the IOL, OVD, Lens Extraction & Ophthalmic Surgical Microscope product portfolio across Australia and New Zealand. Suitable applicants across Australia will be considered.

What you’ll be doing:

Attain or exceed annual revenue & profit goals for area of responsibility.Manage, motivate, and demonstrate strong leadership for all sales Product Specialists within your team.Develop and implement sales strategies to support customer sustained adoption of ZEISS technologies.Lead internal market map development, CRM compliance, in-field inventory management and forecast monthly revenue projections.Work alongside Marketing team members in the design and development of specific programs, advertising, and product promotion to reach sales goals.Work in support of Marketing and Clinical Partnership Manager to identify and develop relevant Key Opinion Leader (KOL) partnerships. Lead relevant customer Tender submissions related to Surgical Ophthalmology. Working closely with sales support to ensure timely and professional submissions are secured. Communicate with counterparts at CZM to glean best practices and to leverage success in other markets to achieve faster development locally.

What you’ll need:

Formal qualifications within business, healthcare, or marketing.Previous successful sales management experience, preferably within the ophthalmic  industry. Ideally related to consumable and/or implantable markets. Strong leadership and proven prior personnel management skills.Demonstrated negotiating and diplomacy skills within a professional environment and the ability to build strong relationships is essential.Excellent team building, teaching, and motivation skills.Ability to develop and present corporate level presentations.Compelling written and verbal communication skills.Strong planning & organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks & adapt to change.
