Manulife Canada Retirement is a leading provider of group retirement savings plans for businesses across Canada. Our plans include Registered Retirement Savings, Defined Contribution, Registered Pension, Deferred Profit Sharing, and Employee Share Ownership programs. The National Small Business Consultant for Canada Retirement manages small business cases located across Canada. While accountable to support the sales team, this is not a sales position.
This is an opportunity to join Canada Retirement of Manulife at a time of significant importance. This is a key field office relationship management role with time spent interacting directly with corporate customers and their affiliated market sources.
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Participation as a supporting member of the pre-sale process for Pension products and services
+ Participate in the installation process by working closely with Plan Sponsors, Producers/Advisors and Head Office Implementation Team and Plan Design Services teams.
+ Provide support on membership renewal and training to Plan Sponsors and Producers/Advisors
+ Own high-level relationship with Plan Sponsors, Producers/Advisors through implementation of new plan
+ Inforce and support digital processes through training of Plan Sponsors and Producers/Advisors
+ Coordinate Agent of Record changes through proper internal channels
+ Monitor successful plan activation through first contribution remittance.
+ Support plan terminations and amendments for the group plan as the need arises.
+ Participate in projects related to the small business product, known as Future Step
+ Manage under $2M new GRO business and Inforce assignments.
**Please Note:** This role will support West Coast hours
**Qualifications:**
+ Experience working with plan sponsors in a pension-related capacity an asset.
+ Knowledge of Canadian Pension industry
+ Strong mathematical aptitude is an asset.
+ Undergraduate degree or equivalent years of experience (degree preferred in business, economics or finance)
+ Superior interpersonal skills
+ Proven ability to set priorities, meet goals, work independently, successful in a team-focused work environment.
+ Proven problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Proven organizational & time management skills.
+ Superior written & verbal communication skills
+ Outstanding presentation skill in a group setting

**Salary range is expected to be between**
$58,275.00 CAD - $97,125.00 CAD
