Gannett Fleming TranSystems is looking for a driven yet empathetic leader for the role of National Wastewater Practice Leader to advance the strategic direction of the wastewater practice and position Gannett Fleming TranSystems for sustainable and continued growth, aligned with the overall strategic direction of the firm. Gannett Fleming TranSystems offers a hybrid work environment. There is flexibility on location of the role to work in any one of our offices, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Chicago, New York, Raleigh, Houston, Denver or Los Angeles. Working remotely is also an option.

 

As National Wastewater Practice Leader, you will engage with key clients, build relationships with teaming partners and industry peers, while also promoting Gannett Fleming’s broad technical capabilities and brand as an employer of choice. Reporting direction to that Global Director of Water & Environmental, you will be expected to collaborate with regional leaders to execute regional strategies and key initiatives with an emphasis on client account strategy and planning, as well as leveraging industry knowledge to support effective marketing and business development aimed at driving revenue.  

 

Growth & Development • Develop realistic national market growth strategy based on industry trends and prioritizes annual investments that elevate the firm’s Wastewater brand in terms of client solutions, innovation, and operational effectiveness.• Collaborate with regional leaders to develop growth forecast and business development strategies aligned with US strategic plan.• Pursue opportunities for innovation and automation that improve and streamline processes and drive increased profitability. • Assist local wastewater market sector program lead with tracking opportunities and pursuits.• Team with leadership across the firm’s diverse business lines and markets for organic growth across US operations. Project/Program Delivery • Focus on delivery of water treatment related planning, process, conveyance, and design projects• Serve as technical advisor or overall quality assurance director in larger projects.• Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at project site in conjunction with all disciplines 

 

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing• Minimum of 20+ years related experience in wastewater/reuse industry, with a focus in wastewater treatment process, planning, and conveyance• Possess strong command of national trends within wastewater practice areas• Strong business acumen with an aptitude for improving processes and experience with change management • Commitment to internal and external client service and broad knowledge of and experience with technical and project delivery• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to build pipeline of project opportunities, lead client engagement planning, and lead pursuit teams to successful sales• Track record of working successfully with diverse and independent teams dispersed across the United States • Demonstrated experience of leadership, personal accountability, and persistence• Ability to successfully navigate multi-dimensional organizations to bring new resources, innovations, ideas, and best practices to clients• Visible industry leader nationally in wastewater treatment/conveyance with existing client and partner relationships and ability to develop new ones• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement national and regional strategies that result in support for investment and lead to organic growth
