Nautical and Marine Safety, Superintendent

The Role

The Superintendent, Nautical and Marine Safety is responsible for supporting improvements in Nautical & Marine Safety policy, procedures and training in compliance with Regulatory, Port State, Flag State and Company standards. This role will involve providing guidance and direction to the fleet and Senior shore management on Nautical, Stability and emergency preparedness as tasked by the Senior Nautical and Marine Safety Manager.

You will:

Improve and maintain fleet emergency response documentation. To provide subject matter expert advice to the Fleet on marine safety and nautical matters. Support with Nautical and Marine Safety internal Investigations. Review new Nautical/Marine Safety risk assessments and marine operational procedures. Support the Senior Manager, Nautical & Marine Safety with the close out of actions from audits, inspections and surveys relating to Marine Safety and Nautical. SME and point of contact to support the fleet on managing e-mustering. To work with the Senior Manager, Nautical & Marine Safety to ensure all aspects of Nautical and Marine Safety are covered for new builds and refits. Our role categories range from CUK15 (entry level) to CUK1 (Brand President) so you can clearly see internal development opportunities. This role is a CUK08 and is offered on a full time, permanent basis, with 3 days hybrid working in our Southampton office.

Previous Deck Officer CoC experience  Knowledge of emergency response planning Knowledge of voyage planning and stability operations
