Job Description

A week in the life of a Network Engineer:
• Designs and implements computer and information networks.• Performs network modeling, analysis, and planning.• Researches and recommends network and data communications hardware and software.• Provides technical guidance for directing and monitoring information systems network operations.• Troubleshoots network performance issues. Analyzes network traffic and provides capacity planning solutions.• Monitors and responds to technical control network hardware and software problems.• Interfaces with vendor service groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.• Manages the testing, installation, and support of network communications systems.• Performs system-level design and configuration of products.
Job Requirements
+ Active or ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance. US Citizenship required.
+ At least five (5) years of experience in network design and implementation. Knowledge of network engineering principles, theories, and concepts and ability to contribute to the development of new and innovative principles and concepts.
+ Bachelor's degree in a Technical Discipline.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $120,000-150,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
