Job Description Summary:
The Manager, Nursing - Naven Health Special Programs is a licensed professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for the management, administration, and coordination of nursing services and Special Programs administration in accordance with the company standards and policies as well as, state, federal and accrediting body guidelines. The Manager, Nursing assists in the planning of goals, and organizes, administers, and supervises program administration for Special Programs. The Manager, Nursing, is accountable to the Sr Director of Strategy & Transformation in meeting operational and financial goals. In a Home Health Agency, this position may also serve as the alternate administrator and or alternate Director of Nursing.Job Description:
Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)Oversees, assesses, and supports Special Programs and program performance. Implements corrective action planning when applicable.
Oversees operations so that the program and patient care needs are met, profit margins are maintained, and overtime is controlled.
Complies with company requirements and ensures that services are provided consistent with established standards of practice, federal and state regulations, accreditation standards and home health agency policy (if applicable).
Implements policies and procedures and oversees the selection, development and monitoring of Special Programs staff.
Effectively works with customers to support and understand their overall business objectives and critical success factors. Leads and facilitates monthly and quarterly business reviews for assigned customers and other standing meeting cadences with programs.
Monitors, assesses, manages, and reports operational and financial data, including analysis for trends and development of process improvement plans.
Responsible for the review of time entry for direct reports and to ensure compliance with leaders within their organization. This includes updating errors as necessary, reviewing overall time entry, and identifying events outside of the expected standard duration of visits.
Partners with other Nurse Managers on the assignment, training, supervision and evaluation of all nursing personnel who provide direct patient care for Special Programs.
Participates and ensures on-call responsibilities for the company are carried out.
Ensures a clinical networking system for employees is in place and acts as a clinical resource. Meets all standards as outlined in job description.

Basic Education and/or Experience RequirementsRegistered Nurse with an active and unrestricted license in the current state of practice
3 years of clinical leadership (supervisory/managerial) experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in specialty therapies
Basic QualificationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage large scale projects, effectively implementing and overseeing their organization to ensure completion and compliance.
Experience applying knowledge of local, State, Federal, accrediting body, and OSHA rules and regulations.
Demonstrates competency in the clinical management of home infusion patients as evidenced by documented previous work experience. Knowledgeable and competent in-patient management skills including the nursing process.
Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
Proven ability to demonstrate success with nursing or business initiatives.
Basic level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: opening a document, cutting, pasting, and aligning text, selecting font type and size, changing margins and column width, sorting, inserting bullets, pictures, and dates, using find and replace, undo, spell check, track changes, review pane and/or print functions).
Basic level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: opening a workbook, inserting a row, selecting font style and size, formatting cells as currency, using copy, paste and save functions, aligning text, selecting cells, renaming a worksheet, inserting a column, selecting a chart style, inserting a worksheet, setting margins, selecting page orientation, using spell check and/or printing worksheets).
Basic skill level in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: inserting, rearranging, hiding, and deleting slides, navigating between slides, increasing list level, adding, centering, and editing text, changing views, inserting a table or a note, moving objects, printing outline view and/or running a slide show).
Physical Demand RequirementsAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time within a home office setting.

Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)BSN
5-10 years of experience in a home health/home infusion setting
CRNI or other professional certification and documentation of advanced management training.

Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
