Position Summary

The Navigator- Imaging Services serves as core contact for Imaging Services patients, becoming involved upon identification of need for diagnostic imaging work up or biopsy. 

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Education          

AS Degree in Radiology Technology or advanced certification in another modality

Experience         

Broad knowledge of Imaging concepts and services

License/Registration/Certifications         

ARRT (R) SCQRSA

 

Preferred Requirements

Preferred Education      

BS in Radiology Technology

Preferred Experience    

5 years’ experience in imaging services

Preferred License/Registration/Certifications     

2 or more ARRT modality registries

 

Core Job Responsibilities

 

Responsible for developing and overseeing the care coordination provided to the patients, and is a liaison between the physician, professional health care staff and other involved parties.  Collaborates with the Radiologists, referring Physicians and Imaging Services regarding the seamless transition for patient’s diagnosis to the need for additional imaging studies or follow up with referring physicians. May be assigned to cover additional shifts as required to meet departmental needs
