Position Summary:  The Bridge Inspection Team Leader will be responsible for conducting NBIS inspections of in-service transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and traffic device support structures. The Bridge Inspector Team Leader will receive general supervision from the Project Manager and will be required to perform the duties of an inspection team leader. Duties of the position include planning and scheduling inspections, performing inspections, and preparing inspection reports as per client requirements.

 

 Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, conduct or coordinate detailed phases of the engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools Manage project sub-consultants and in-house support disciplines Prepare proposals as required Attend meetings with clients Coordinate with internal team members to ensure project completion by the defined deadline and established quality Lead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meeting, coaching) that supports the growth and development of team
