Hexcel is currently seeking a CNC Operator for our Kent, WA, USA location. This person will have an immediate opportunity to grow with Hexcel. They will perform multiple production and production support functions such as lamination, finishing, trimming, and other various duties associated with the manufacturing of aerospace parts.

Summary pay range:  $27.64 – $34.55 hourly wage rate.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Operate 5-axis CNC and waterjet machines. Run daily calibration. Select correct programs, loading and setting up tools and parts. Complete reports and records, part mark.Operate forklift and crane.Perform operator assigned maintenance. Maintain clean/neat work areas including emptying garbage, sweeping and mopping floors.Reading and using calipers, micrometers, scales, fixed gauges and other measuring instruments within close tolerances.Other duties as required and assigned.Manage priorities and meet deadlines with 100% accuracy in a multi-task environment. Communicate well with others and to interact with individuals on the floor as a team. Follow oral and written instructions and write record processes as required. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Wear all personal protective equipment as required for this position.Regularly exhibit customer service-oriented approach and responds to requests with a sense of urgency.“Think out of the box” and identify process improvement opportunities.

Qualifications:

Minimum two (2) years’ experience operating a 5-Axis CNC Machine.Ability to read and follow written instructions and planning.Capable of doing precise set ups on machine.Minimum of one (1) years’ experience operating a forklift and crane. Strong aptitude for reading and using calipers, micrometers, scales, fixed gauges and other measuring instruments within close tolerances.Capable of reading and using precision measuring instruments i.e.: Micrometer and dial calipers.Have a history of strong performance: no suspension-level discipline within the last 12 months, proven ability to work with minimal supervision, and have a positive attitude about safety.Must possess basic computer skills.Excellent attendanceExperience reading, interpreting, and following work instructions, procedures, contracts, drawings, and specifications.
