Clover Leaf Solutions is looking for an NDA Technician to support operations at the SLDA site in Parks Township, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will operate gamma-based non-destructive assay (NDA) systems, primarily high-purity germanium (HPGe) systems, to identify, locate, and characterize radioactive materials. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of performing independent technical reviews and data analysis in a DOE environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise NDA operations following customer and PSC policies, along with relevant regulations. Promote a collaborative team environment to support operational goals. Operate radiation detection and measurement instruments to assess radioactive materials through non-destructive assay. Collect and generate radiological assay data and test results. Perform daily quality control (QC) checks on assigned NDA instruments. Develop spreadsheets, charts, and schedules to support data collection and project tracking. Assemble test matrices by mixing materials and arranging source tubes per physics specifications to simulate waste in various containers. Conduct Independent Technical Reviews (ITR) on NDA data provided by NDA Analysts. Perform instrument calibration, validation, and troubleshooting as required. Address project-related concerns, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving issues as needed. Support engineers in troubleshooting and perform minor instrument repairs. Perform other related duties as assigned.Requirements
U.S. Citizenship required. High school diploma or GED with at least two years of experience in non-destructive assay (NDA), preferably within the DOE. Proficiency in MS Office and spreadsheet software. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage projects to timely completion.
