Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Upstream clients to seek an NDT Engineer to work in Spring, TX on an initial 1-year contract, likely to extend!

Responsibilities: Provide technical expertise in the review and development of NDT testing programs for an LNG project. Oversee the Contractors engineering work proposals and plans particularly with respect to offshore pipeline. Managing the NDT activities. Ensuring all NDT procedures are in accordance with Company Specifications and Industry Codes and Standards. Respecting HSE rules and requirements and ensuring that the design and the resulting operations will be performed in compliance with a high regard to Health, Safety, Security and Environmental requirements. Reviewing/approving project procedures and documentation Oversight of Company UT personnel training Production oversight Review and interpretation of UT scanned data Disseminating information to the welding/quality project teams Assist in identifying candidate welds/scans for training or future work Accepting/rejecting production welds Attend meetings Work with other project and Company team members Requirements: BSc or MSc in Material/Welding Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering 10+ years’ experience working for EPC Pipeline Company, Construction Company, or Oil and Gas exploration/ production companies with a proven track record in similar positions. Specialization: NDT Valid Level III NDT certification. Experience in offshore pipeline. Automated Ultrasonic Testing of Pipeline Wells is desired. A PhD in Wave Propagation, Applied Physics, Engineering, or a closely related field would be a plus.
