NDT Technician
Overview Spirit AeroSystems designs and builds aerostructures for both commercial and defense customers. Responsibilities Applicant must have met the requirements of NAS 410 for Level 2 certification, and be able to demonstrate proficiency, in Ultrasonic inspection. Also it is preferred that applicant have experience with one or more of the secondary NDT methods of Radiography, Eddy Current and/or Penetrant testing. Documented formal training, experience history, and related documents including any previous NDT certifications, with previous employers will be required. Experience with large gantry test systems is preferred as is documented experience in digital radiographic testing. Applicant must have the skills and knowledge to set up and standardize equipment, conduct tests, and to interpret, and evaluate for acceptance or rejection, and document results. Applicant must be familiar with the scope and limitations of the techniques/methods in which they are certified. Applicant must be capable of providing the necessary guidance and training to new personnel in the techniques/methods in which they are certified. Applicant must be familiar with the codes, standards, and other contractual documents that control the methods used at this site. Applicant must have a basic knowledge of product manufacturing and inspection technology. Qualifications Skills and Experience Educational Requirements All Candidates must pass the WorkKeys Assessment (www.workkeys.com) or provide verification that they have passed the WorkKeys Assessment. Delay in completing your WorkKeys Assessment will result in a delay in your start date. You may complete your assessment in advance of an interview. Other Must be willing and able to work any shift. Must have at least basic computer skills Must be able to lift, move and locate parts for testing.
