SummaryOur Live Production Team is actively recruiting for a Nest Born Manager. The primary purpose of this position is to manage and optimize all aspects of OFH on Delmarva. This includes, but not limited to, scheduling of egg placements, contractor work schedules, vaccination, and farmer communication. This position will coordinate placement of eggs to our contract farmers in a safe, timely, and efficient manner that optimizes and maximizes company resources in accordance with Live Operations, Tech Services & Transportation requirements. This includes but is not limited to, compliance with PVP programs and Animal Care programs. In addition, the tracking of performance metrics and the analysis of data to identify opportunity for improvement, develop plans, and manage change are required.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensure safety procedures are in place for operation, transport, and maintenance of OFH equipment. Assist in scheduling and communicating with farmers on house prep., temperature management, etc. to maximize efficiency that results in improved cost and performance. Track and analyze key daily, weekly, monthly reporting metrics as directed by management and identify areas for improvement. Operate, transport, and maintain OFH equipment Schedule drivers and delivery personnel to place eggs safely and efficiently on our contract farms, resulting in limited egg damage and farmer disruptions. This includes supporting and coordinating activities with Hatchery #2 and Hatchery #3 management including scheduling labor, and maintenance of OFH equipment. Work with Hatchery Managers to optimize performance as related to OFH. Monitor flock performance throughout grow out cycle. Identify and track actual cost of On-Farm Hatch. Minimum EducationB.S. degree is preferred in the field of Agriculture, Transportation & Logistics, Poultry Science or Agribusiness Management. CDL preferred but not required.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements Exposed to Environmental temperatures, weather, and air born dust, must wear personal protective equipment to include hard, hat safety boots and hearing protection. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders. Must be able to work in an office environment.
