We are seeking a NetApp Engineer for our Professional Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing general support of the customer's NetApp environment including some 450+ controllers and 40+ petabyte of disk in multiple data centers in the Phoenix area as well asIowa, Singapore, and Amsterdam. You will work for Storage Operations Manager with dotted line to Storage Engineering.
Responsibilities:
* Day-to-day support of the Storage Environment (Primarily NetApp, but some 3Par and their internal storage solution during on-call weeks, mostly escorting HP techs to replace 3Par disks etc.)
* Monitor DFM Alerts and address
* Hardware Failures (Failed Disk, disk shelves, cards, modules, etc.)
* Submit Change Requests to fix and then fix, usually after hours 9pm or later
* Capacity alerts, review and address with internal teams
* Capacity Planning and monitoring
* Monitor Snapshot and address any issues
* Primary on call (Mon-Sun, 24X7) one week a month
* Secondary on-call (Mon-Sun, 24X7) one week a month, usually follows your primary on-call week
* ONTAP Upgrades
* Shelve Adds
* NetApp Firmware Upgrades
* Coordinate and plan all new NetApp hardware installs (worldwide)
* Work with shipping and receiving to receive hardware
* Work with Data Center on racks and network
* Unbox and rack hardware (cable etc)
* Configure controller
* Coordinate and play point for all break fix issues with NetApp/Partner overseas for NetApp Hardware
* Support OnCommand/DFM
* Support SANscreen
* Storage Hardware Retirement (follow disposal process and paperwork to retire hardware)
* Storage Landscape Document (Visio of entire environment updated yearly)
* Support Cisco MDS Switches
* Misc. other tasks and projects as assigned (migrations, head swaps etc.)
* Work with Sales team to introduce, plan and support new solutions in Weekly Meetings:
