Provide support to the Combined Air and Operations Center (CAOC) Enterprise Network Operations Functional Area for the enterprise network infrastructure and systems, AOC Weapons Systems network infrastructure, enterprise system servers, radio systems, and VTC/multimedia systems. This team delivers end to end support for systems and network infrastructure monitoring at Shaw AFB. Network and AOC Network Administrators provide consistent coverage for their support networks, working as a single to team to ensure consistent coverage and support. Cleared and qualified members providing COMSEC support, serving as alternate COMSEC custodians, maintaining the process for such support to include two-person integrity.

Responsibilities Provides direction and guidance for Network Administration Team.Install, operate, maintain, administer and manage AOC Weapons System network infrastructure, data-links and systems to ensure services are operational and available with minimal interruption. Provide Tier 2 technical support.Add and remove client devices (e.g., PCs, Thin Clients, VoIPs, VoSIPs, VTCs, DVTCs, peripherals, etc.) to and from networks.Update and patch network equipment, firmware and software to ensure configuration and cybersecurity compliance.Operate and maintain access control systems; and manage and configure MAC address authentication.Administer network administrative accounts and access.Operate and maintain network monitoring and analysis tools; and detect, analyze and resolve network infrastructure and systems problems.Monitor and control network performance, utilization and capacity to ensure optimal performance, availability, serviceability and recoverability.Evaluate current infrastructure, research current technologies/solutions; and provide hardware/software upgrade and replacement recommendations for end-of-life/end-of-support COTS products.Assist with the tracking and management of COTS licenses, warranties, service level agreements renewals for network equipment and software.Support existing and new network cabling/wiring infrastructure (fiber and copper) to include installing, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and replacing cabling/wiring.Ensure cabling/wiring and patch panels are properly installed and labeled.Assist with circuit actions to include preparing and coordinating requests for service; engineering, installing, testing and accepting or removing circuits.Update and maintain AOC network configuration and connectivity drawings. • Clearance: Secret (TS/ SCI Preferred)
