Description Our client is looking for a driven entry-level Network Administrator to join their team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This Contract to permanent position is perfect for candidates eager to expand their expertise in network infrastructure support while collaborating closely with senior administrators. The role offers hands-on opportunities in troubleshooting, network optimization, and security administration. Responsibilities: • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software to ensure optimal performance. • Monitor network performance and promptly address issues to minimize downtime. • Support the implementation of network security protocols to safeguard data, hardware, and software. • Provide technical assistance to end-users facing network-related challenges. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, procedures, and workflows. • Collaborate with team members to identify and execute network optimization and upgrade initiatives. • Work with a variety of technologies, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, to support and enhance the network. • Contribute to the design and implementation of network solutions that align with organizational needs. • Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure reliable operation and minimize disruptions. Requirements • At least 2 years of experience in network administration or a related role. • Proficiency in working with Cisco technologies, including routers, switches, and Meraki products. • Familiarity with firewall technologies and network security best practices. • Strong understanding of Cisco routing protocols and their application in network environments. • Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent knowledge highly preferred. • Experience troubleshooting and maintaining computer hardware and networking equipment. • Ability to design and implement effective network solutions. • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
