This position is generally responsible for managing and maintaining the daily operations of computer networks and for solving any problems that may occur.
Qualifications
- Graduate of BS Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any equivalent course
- With at least 2 years of experience as network administrator
- More than 1 year of firewall administration experience, preferably Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls
- Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and Intrusion Detection System (IDS) administration experience
- Familiar with AWS Cloudfront, security groups, VPC, WAF, and network infrastructure.
1. Customer Service and Troubleshooting
- Identify and solve any problems that arise with the employees’ laptops and computer networks and systems.
- Set up employees’ user account, network and system permissions, and passwords.
- Maintain network connectivity of all employees’ desktop and laptop.
- Communicate with the departments to specify system requirements and design solutions on departmental network problems.
- Oversee the installation and configuration of end user workstation hardware, software, security, and peripheral devices.
2. Network Management
- Manage servers and the operating system of the company.
- Implement security measures and basic testing to maintain the optimal performance of the networks.
- Conduct configuring of network hardware like servers, routers, and switches.
- Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weakness.
- Ensure the network security and connectivity of the whole department at all times.
- Maintain existing and software and hardware and conduct upgrades any that have become obsolete.
- Assist in the network design and implementation.
- Develop and monitor policies for the use of network resources.
- Evaluate and recommend security improvements and systems upgrades.
- Provide technical oversight of a multi-site enterprise level WAN, including planning, implementation/expansion, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and developments as well as recommendations on server system administration
3. Administrative
- Create and maintain technical support documentation for systems/network configuration and cabling layouts
- Prepare, submit, and present report based on schedule or as required
