Responsibilities:
Maintain documentation related to network functions, as well as maintenance and repair recordsMonitor performance and availability of networks, servers, and other infrastructure equipmentAdministrator for all network and server equipmentMonitor network and server health and performanceRespond to intermediate level ticketsRespond to trouble tickets timelyResearch new technology, and implement it or recommend its implementationWork in a cooperative manner with team, superiors, and other departmentsProvide support for internal customers through phone, email, or in personConfigure, install, and support the following equipment:Routers and switchesServer operating systemsCommunication lines including voice and data T1’s, analog lines, and internet servicePerform data backups and disaster recovery operationsDiagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessaryManage assigned new projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectivesAssist in the implementation of complex projectsQualifications:
2-year degree required; 4-year degree preferred, in technical field2 years of related experiencePersonal Attributes: Attention to Detail, Creative Thinking, Planning and Organization, Problem Solving, TeamworkDemonstrated ability to manage timelines and deliverables in projects.Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technologies and products, independently using documentation and online resourcesMust be able to work both independently and in a team environmentExperience with network protocols, managed in an enterprise environment.Basic knowledge and understanding of IP Telephony, running in a Cisco Call Manager systemBasic knowledge with Cisco network equipment, Vmware, Windows Servers, LAN/WAN configuration, and wireless networksBasic level experience with network security, firewalls, and authentication protocolsMay be asked to be available off-hours and weekendsMinimum Physical Requirements:
