From your PASSION to ours

This position is part of a team that contributes to network and security projects from conception through maintenance. The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining and supporting LAN/WAN communications including VOIP and telepresence, while improving reliability, scalability, and security. 

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

· Administration of routers, switches, wireless access points, firewalls, VOIP phone system, VOIP phones, smartphones, security updates and patches. 

· Monitor a ticket queue and provide triage and diagnostic evaluation of incoming tickets assigned to the team.

· Perform regular audits of firewalls to ensure adherence to department defined standards.

· Continually improves the networks by monitoring and evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency.

· Planning and executing the installation, configuration, and testing of network equipment.

· Become familiar with and adhere to network policies and procedures.

· Participate in technical projects with both internal and vendor supplied resources. This may include user impact assessment and task scheduling.

· Reporting of operational status of networks by gathering and prioritizing information.

· Contribution to network and security performance by assisting in definition of policy and procedures, monitoring, and reporting on adherence.

· Creation and maintenance of documentation on network and processes for internal use and user education.

· Member of a team that participates in off-hours, on-call rotation.

· Provides technical support and guidance to Help Desk Technicians & all staff.

· Completion of assigned tasks as needed to satisfy departmental and company mission.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education 

· A candidate should possess a bachelor's degree in a computer systems related field or possess equivalent professional experience in IT. 

Experience

· 2+ years Network Administrator experience is required.

· Strong skills required in:

· LAN/WAN; VPN; WIFI

· Next Generation Firewall setup and troubleshooting

· Switch, Access Point, Wireless LAN setup and troubleshooting

· Network Performance Tuning; Network Security Principles

· Structured Cabling Standards

· OSI network Model and TCP/IP

· Domain Services: MS Active Directory, DNS, DHCP

· Familiarity with the following technologies is a plus:

· Routing Protocols: BGP/OSPF 

· Cisco: Switch, Wireless LAN Controller; WIFI Access Points

· FortiGate Firewall

· Cisco UCM/UCX VOIP/SIP

· Citrix (troubleshooting published apps and desktops); Citrix NetScaler

· Microsoft Operating Systems

· Microsoft Office Products

· VMWare

· Storage Area Networks (EMC, NetApp)

Salary Description $65,000.00-$80,000.00
