Network Administrator/PC Specialist

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. 3 years’ experience in a technical support role or similar IT position. This position entails access to export-controlled items and employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.  Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.  Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP). Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network troubleshooting. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

JOB SUMMARY

The NETWORK ADMIN/PC SPEC role is a primary deployment and support role for business and manufacturing infrastructure within Howmet Aerospace’s global manufacturing facilities. 

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet Aerospace’s EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles. Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations. Wear all required personal protective equipment. Report all job-related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook). Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.

Technical Requirements

Knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and supporting hardware, software, and network-related issues. Familiarity with system installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, software applications, and peripherals. Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment. Experience in performing system upgrades, patches, and updates. Basic knowledge of IT security best practices and the ability to assist in the administration and maintenance of security systems. Ability to provide user support in accessing and utilizing various software applications and tools. Knowledgeable about IT inventory management and maintaining an organized hardware and software inventory. Comply with all guidelines detailed in the IT audit requirements (with specific focus on business partnerships, change control disaster recovery and security) for assigned areas of responsibilities. Pursue continuous learning consistent with the movement in the job requirements and changes in technology. Lead the discovery, planning and implementation of process improvements in the individual tasks. Provide user support in the business environment.
