Summary:
This position is responsible for evaluating, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and repairing of network infrastructure and applications components. Ensures that network performance meets the company and user’s satisfaction and it’s working effectively without interruption, by monitoring the network system. Responsible for providing technical support to all users at all levels within the company.
Essential Functions:
Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures.
Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
Configure, implement, test, patch, troubleshoot, or maintain firewalls, web filters, switches, routers, VPN’s, encryption, antimalware solutions and wireless networks in compliance with best practices.
Support in the design setup and configure complex wireless networking that supports open or secure access and the ability to support voice and video applications.
Manages and troubleshoots network and internet connectivity throughout the organization.
Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
Provides installation, configuration and maintaining network services, equipment, and devices.
Performs troubleshooting analysis of network devices, workstations, and associated systems.
Support the configuration and maintain firewall, VPN access and security appliances for access to business applications.
Provides updates to the network devices, switches, and Wi-Fi antennas.
Assists in the documentation of network problems and resolutions for future reference.
Fully support all aspects of the network, including firewalls, switches, routers, and AP.
Collaborates with external contractors and airlines personnel in the integration of their system with the airport system.
Collaborate with third-party support and service vendors to ensure that the network stays operational.
Support the Application Support team in dealing with critical incidents in the Managed Service environment
Solving general network and security problems (firewalls, routing, NAT, etc.).
Participates in projects to implement, test, and design IT systems, modules, and application.
Actively contribute to increasing the availability of our services by providing iterative improvements to existing infrastructure solutions
Contribute to regular security and risk assessments, refine systems to support the findings of these assessments and implement additional systems as needs arise to ensure an advanced operational ad security position.

Participates in meetings and orientations.
Execute any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from an accredited university or related experience in supporting regulated systems.
CCNA, CCNP routing and switching, Network + or advance networking training.
FortiGate multi-threat security systems I and II and network training (switch and core).
VoIP intermediate or advance training.
The position requires three (3) years of related experience.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Extensive knowledge working with TCP/IPv4 & v6, DHCP, and DNS.
Extensive knowledge and experience in Design, Implementation, and Support of LAN, WAN, Wireless, and Security solutions.
Strong knowledge in static routing and routing protocols.
Expert understanding of firewall configuration and maintenance.
Strong experience with Remote access and site-to-site VPNs.
Experience with Load Balancers.
Experience with network monitoring and security products.
Language skills in Spanish and English. Ability to read and understand instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence and make simple presentations of information, effectively, an individual or small groups of customers and other employees of the organization.
Customer Service Oriented.
Work with mathematical concepts such as probability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals skills. Ability to compute rates, proportions, and percentages, and draw and interpret simple graphs. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Proficient with office equipment, computers, calculators, photocopy and fax machine and phone.
Ability to deal with problems involving some variables in common situations.

Regular contact with company internal departments and its employees to discuss technical support, reports requirements or software analysis and counsel; Contact outside of the organization with airlines representatives and passenger assistant to discuss service and issues where inappropriate courtesy could affect the relations.
Work entails handling confidential information such as employee’s information and company information. Inappropriate handling of confidential information could have an impact on the organization’s security in terms of unauthorized access and leaking of information which could be used for other purposes that would not serve its best interests or those of employees and the public. Likewise, it would have an impact on the security of external clients and the community at large.
Flow of work and character of duties involve normal mental and visual attention along with manual coordination, or part-time normal and part-time concentrated attention and coordination.
Remote likelihood of employee accidents or injuries. Could get superficial and insignificant cuts and scratches that would only require use of disinfectant and simple bandages. Employees would return immediately to their work area.
Normal office environment. Occasionally exposed to elements such as noise, dust and odors. Evening, holiday or weekend work may be required.
