Network Architect

CTG is seeking to fill a Network Architect opening for our client in Frisco, TX. Location: Frisco, TX Duration: 7 months Duties: Design and implement network architectures that support business requirements and future scalability. Lead the development of network strategies and standards in collaboration with enterprise architecture and security teams. Evaluate current network infrastructure and make recommendations for enhancements or upgrades. Provide high-level troubleshooting and guidance for complex network issues. Design solutions for LAN/WAN, wireless, cloud connectivity, data center networks, and hybrid architectures. Create and maintain comprehensive network documentation including diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure network solutions align with organizational goals and security standards. Stay current with emerging technologies and assess their applicability to the client environment. Skills: Expertise in enterprise network design including Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, and/or Fortinet technologies. Strong knowledge of network protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN). Proficiency in SD-WAN, VPN, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience with network monitoring and management tools. Ability to conduct network performance tuning and capacity planning. Solid understanding of network security principles and practices. Familiarity with scripting and automation (Python, Ansible, etc.) is a plus. Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering and architecture roles. Proven track record designing and implementing large-scale, complex network infrastructures. Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing infrastructure projects. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, JNCIE, AWS Certified Advanced Networking). Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
