Job Description

The Data Centers Network Architect is responsible for the design and health of Expeditors' network. As a member of Data Centers, the Network Architect will design and support Expeditors global and local networks and connections that are critical to the support of Expeditors branch infrastructure and global operations. The Network Architect leads the evolution of the Expeditors network, which spans more than 250 locations around the globe.

This position is on-site and will reside in the greater Seattle, WA. area at one of the following locations depending on availability. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent communication and presentation skillsExcellent customer service skillsExcellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skillsAbility to translate business requirements into functional requirements for network designPrior experience in the development and/or enhancement of large-scale enterprise WANPrior experience in designing a global network with multiple data centersPrior experience in the development and deployment of SDWANPrior experience with the design and implementation of wireless networksExtensive knowledge of Cisco routing & switchingStrong knowledge of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, in a multi-site networkKeen attention to detail

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with Big-IP LTM/GTM deployments and configurationsExperience with Windows and UNIX operating systemsExperience with public and private cloud design and implementationExperience with third party vendor managementExperience with implementation of network segmentation, including concepts such as zero trustCCIE and CCDE certifications or equivalent

Additional Information

Expected base salary: $165,000 to $240,000
