Our InfraCo team

Our team is focussed on maintaining Telstra’s assets, growing our network resilience and leveraging Wholesale and nbn co revenue streams in order to position InfraCo as a strong, viable business in the market.
About the role
Your day-to-day focus will be coordinating large capital programs to ensure seamless integration with the existing complex infrastructure and contributing towards developing optimal engineering solutions for power and cooling within InfraCo sites.
You will undertake scoping and budgeting activities, create projects and own these through design, construction and completion. You will lead or contribute towards complex technical feasibilities which may involve cost modelling or detailed analysis.
Key responsibilities
This is how you will bring your role purpose to life:
Apply planning methodologies to determine infrastructure shortfalls within the BES portfolio including DC Power, HVAC and AC Power. Understand and implement decisions regarding complex BES & Telepower infrastructure.
Lead and contribute towards complex feasibilities regarding InfraCo priority assets.
Identify opportunities for minimum viable engineering solutions that continue to provide value to our Telstra customers and new commercial opportunities.
Undertake scoping and budgeting activities that contribute towards the creation of design & construction projects. Collaborate with various stakeholders to manage budget, scope, and time across individual projects (such as Program Delivery, Contract Management and contractors) to deliver on agreed project outcomes. This includes understanding application of Capex and Opex activities.
Adhere to workplace HSE obligations and mandatory compliance training.
Identify and undertake professional development opportunities and mentorship and learning opportunities from other colleagues within the National Planning Team.
To be eligible for this role, we are looking for candidates with the following experience:
Essential:
Technical skills in Building Engineering Services industry relating to one or more of the following: AC Power, DC Power, Air-conditioning, Energy/Renewables and/or Data Centre services. Interpretation of schematics or single line diagrams and relevant Australian Standards.
Ability to problem solve, apply critical thinking, undertake planning tasks, maintain and develop customer and stakeholder relationships though effective communication and collaboration
Capacity Planning, project creation and ownership, budgeting and cost estimation for Design & Construct activities
Desirable
Tertiary Qualifications (at least Degree level) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
Post-secondary qualifications in property or building services related fields or other similar qualifications and demonstrative experience in the field of building engineering services may be acceptable
Data analysis, modelling and metric reporting.
