Job Purpose

The Network/Cloud Architect Manager leads a team in designing and managing cloud systems, applications, and infrastructure, with a focus on energy management and DC Fast charging. The role involves selecting and implementing scalable, secure cloud solutions, ensuring compliance with audit standards, and optimizing performance. Collaborating with global stakeholders, the manager drives the adoption of cutting-edge digital products, focusing on cloud architecture, systems integration, and communication across complex networks. This position requires expertise in cloud technologies, architecture principles, and leadership to deliver next-generation solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture Manager manages the team responsible for the design and management of an organization’s cloud system, applications, policies, and strategy, leads the evaluation process to select, implement and maintain the best cloud solutions for DC Fast charging and Energy management. Being a Cloud Architect Manager manages the development of scalable architecture to support applications and infrastructure including energy management as a service (EaaS). Guides requirement gathering activities with stakeholders and vendors across the world. Additionally, Cloud Architect Manager ensures that robust security management and privacy requirements are incorporated into cloud software, and applications. Implements audit standards, control, and processes to monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure.  Maintains up to date, extensive, and deep knowledge of cloud products, technology, and best practices. It requires a strong understanding of cloud technologies, architecture principles, and excellent leadership skills

You will have the opportunity to directly impact the adoption of the next generation of FC&S digital products and services. Specific focus areas will include cloud architecture and systems integration and communications over complex systems.

Qualifications Master’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field preferred. 5+ years of experience with relevant technology, including Microsoft Azure Cloud Computing Services and technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures for data and analytics, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management. Experience with software development life cycle and coding or scripting experience. Experience with application scalability and performance testing. Experience with deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management (Linux, Python, Azure DevOps, etc.). Docker containers / equivalent Kubernetes infrastructure. Demonstrated experience designing and building architectures with distributed and tiered applications or real time data movement with edge devices that use security and encryption protocols.

 

Qualifications Deep domain expertise of cloud infrastructure solutions (i.e. Linux IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, SAP, BCDR, Security, Management, Storage, Networking, OSS, containers and Infra as a code technologies). Deep knowledge of database architecture, database modeling, high availability, data storage with enterprise management processes. Demonstrated experience with at least two additional modern data/cloud platforms: Microsoft Azure, AWS, SQL Server. Strong ability to communicate technical plans to technical and non-technical team members and stakeholders at all levels of organization. Experience working in an Agile software development framework.
