Network Consultant (Remote)
Overview This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States. This position leads the development and support of the Bank's network infrastructure. Serves as a technical resource for project planning and problem resolution. Presents technical alternatives and solutions to management that are reliable, scalable, secure and cost-effective. Leads technical teams on assigned projects and collaborates effectively across the organization. Provides consultative guidance to associates, management, and business units through expertise in multiple technologies. Responsibilities Consultation: Provides consultative direction and technical advice relating to the Bank's network infrastructure, addressing reliability, availability, scalability, security, and recovery. Supports all areas of Technology and Operations. Analysis: Evaluates the performance of existing and proposed system components in delivering solutions for technology, operations, and business needs. Analyzes hardware platforms, operating systems, applications, and network components. Provides key insight into new system software, hardware, and network integration. Support: Implements, upgrades, and supports network hardware and software. Coordinates new technologies spanning hardware platforms and different operating systems that require network communication. Coordinates network communication and data integration methods for new technologies. Performs planning and documentation throughout support activities. Resolves complex technical problems and automates tasks for improved efficiencies. Technical Expertise: Maintains a strong knowledge base to effectively consult and direct others on technical matters. Communicates effective and clear technical information across platforms. #LI-IK1 Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience in Installation and support of complex systems OR High School Diploma or GED and 12 years of experience in Installation and support of complex systems Preferred Area of Experience: Large Enterprise Network Design and Support Advanced Routing (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VRF) Cloud Connectivity/Cloud Networking Advanced Routing (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, VRF) Cisco ACI / Leaf and Spine SDN technology Enterprise Cisco Viptela SD-WAN Enterprise Aruba/Cisco Wireless Principle Accountabilities: 60% - Design, consulting and project support 20% - Vision, roadmaps and strategy 10% - Implementation, testing and build out 10% - Tier 4 support escalation This job posting is expected to remain active for 45 days from the initial posting date listed above. If hired in North Carolina, the base pay for this position is generally between $120,783 and $185,200. If hired in Florida, the base pay for this position is generally between $132,196 and $200,000. If hired in New Jersey, the base pay for this position is generally between $138,00 and $213,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. For some roles, total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other awards as outlined in the offer of employment.
