Network Designer
On site Basingstoke

As a Network Designer, you will contribute to this by working collaboratively in the project team and designing and implementing medium/large network solutions and changes to enable services for our customer that are cost-effective.
We are looking for a Network Architect to work on delivery opportunities taking place within the secure Defence and National Security sector. Your role will involve understanding the business and technical requirements and you will be responsible for the producing the relevant design collateral (including passing any governance reviews), providing hands on configuration and implementation support, troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring effective handover to service and supporting the project team in its milestone deliverables.
Your experience:
•Demonstrable design experience in proposing and utilizing technologies from global network vendors such as Cisco and Juniper, including production of quality technical documentation for delivery and solution support.
•Strong technical networking knowledge with industry recognized network certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Juniper JNCIS-ENT of routing protocols, virtual routing instances, VPNs, Security zones. Experience and skills in F5 mandatory, Cisco Firepower, Gigamon technology and configuration automation through Ansible is very desirable.
•Demonstrable network device configuration skills, network troubleshooting skills and approach to defect resolution.
•Solid understanding of project end to end life cycle, through initial requirements gathering, design, implementation and deployment activities to Operational Acceptance into Service (AiS).
•Able to support effective project management with accurate estimation of tasks, work scheduling and progress reporting to ensure timely project delivery that meets the customers expectation.
•Excellent communications skills with multiple stakeholders, able to take ownership and responsibility and make quick decisions, willing to share knowledge.
